The Quiet Girl Who Observes Everything
Why Listening Is My Greatest Writing Skill
People think quiet people have nothing to say.
The truth?
We’re usually the ones noticing everything.
Not everyone who is quiet has nothing to say.
Some of us are simply observing.
The way someone avoids eye contact when they’re hurting.
The way laughter sounds different when it’s forced.
The way confidence sometimes hides fear.
I’ve always noticed the small things.
The pauses between words.
The emotions people try to hide.
The stories that never get spoken out loud.
Maybe that’s why silence has always felt comfortable to me.
Because when you listen more than you speak,
you begin to understand people in a different way.
I may not always be the loudest voice in the room.
But I notice.
And maybe that’s why I write.
Because the most powerful stories
are often hidden in the details
most people overlook.
Are you someone who observes more than you speak?
Thank you for being here.
